Day 2: Wednesday, April 17 – Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Visit The Pioneer Woman Mercantile for free time and a (Pre-Paid) Catered Lunch by the Mercantile. The Pioneer Woman Mercantile is a destination restaurant, bakery and store. Ree and Ladd Drummond spent years renovating the hundred-year-old Osage Mercantile building on Main Street so that they could welcome visitors from near and far and give them a slice of small-town hospitality. “The Merc” has gorgeous goods, comfort foods, fresh-made pastries, delicious coffee, and plenty of fun to dish out. Come stop in, stay awhile, and leave with a smile! Next, “Roam the Osage” with a Guided Tour of the area with a Lodge visit if open. If Lodge not open, a Guided Tour of the Tallgrass Prairie. Let them take us back in time to the 1920’s oil boom with stories of riches, historical buildings, famous cowboys, and Native Osage Culture.. After, free time in Pawhuska town shops along with the Mercantile. We’ll enjoy Dinner (Pre-Paid) before departing for our hotel.
Day 3: Thursday, April 18 – Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Take a Tour of the Oklahoma City National Memorial for a visit. The Memorial Museum is an interactive learning experience that takes you on a chronological self-guided tour through the story of April 19, 1995, and the days, weeks and years that followed the bombing of Oklahoma City’s Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The story tracks the remarkable journey of loss, resilience, justice and hope. Then, travel onto our hotel in Waco, Texas area for (3) nights.
Day 4: Friday, April 19 – Let’s have breakfast and then depart for Magnolia Market. Shop Joanna Gaines’ handpicked home decor and lifestyle goods featured on her HGTV show, “Fixer Upper”. There’s a little something for everyone at Magnolia Market at the Silos. Shopping, games, the garden and even a bite to eat. The Market itself is staged and set up with one goal in mind: to inspire all to own the space you’re in. Next, a Guided Tour of Waco and see many of the Fixer Upper homes, shops (like Harp Design & JDH Metals), and Historical Landmarks featured on the show as well as make stops for photo opportunities. After, we’ll enjoy a fun, yummy (Pre-Paid) Dinner.
Day 5: Saturday, April 20 – Enjoy a nice breakfast at hotel. First visit is to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame was a regular stop for dignitaries visiting President Bush’s ranch in nearby Crawford. Heads of state and Federal officials were visibly impressed when introduced to “a real Texas Ranger.” They requested autographs and treasured Texas Ranger pins above far more expensive souvenirs of America. The “Ranger Ideal” is alive and well in the 21st century. Preserving Texas Ranger history, and honoring distinguished Rangers is what the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum is all about. Off then to the Homestead Craft Village. Their craft village and working homestead occupy about 18 acres. For a fairly in-depth tour, giving ourselves plenty of time to look around in each shop and visiting with their craftsmen. We can start at The Barn, a 200-year-old barn restored by our craftsmen that also showcases the work of their craftsmen. This will give you a glimpse of the type, variety and quality of their work. Then enjoy a (Pre-Paid) Dinner prior to returning to the hotel.
Day 6: Sunday, April 21 – After a nice Breakfast at our hotel, then we will depart for Oklahoma City. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Gardens. The Oklahoma Aquarium. City’s Adventure District in northeast Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The zoo covers 119 acres and is home to more than 1,900 animals. Lunch (Pre-Paid). Then, travel to our en route hotel.
