Day 1: Friday, March 22 – Welcome Aboard! We’ll depart our pick up locations for a nice ride across the states to our first en route hotel . Lunch and Dinner on own. Water and snacks provided on coach.
Day 2: Saturday, March 23 – Enjoy a nice Hot Breakfast at our hotel, we will depart for the Oklahoma City National Memorial. At this stirring memorial, we’ll have the opportunity to pay respects to those who were lost in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombings. Later in the day, lunch and dinner on own, then depart for our en route hotel.
Day 3: Sunday, March 24 – Enjoy a nice breakfast at hotel before departing for beautiful San Antonio – Home of the Alamo! Lunch and dinner on own before arriving to our San Antonio area hotel for a five night stay.
Day 4: Monday, March 25 – We will have a Continental breakfast at our hotel before departing for a Guided Tour of San Antonio. The tour includes visits to San Fernando Cathedral, the King William Historical District, and El Mercado, an area patterned after an authentic Mexican market. This evening, we will enjoy Dinner (Pre-Paid) and then go on San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk Cruise!
Day 5: Tuesday, March 26 – After enjoying breakfast at our hotel, we’re off to the Gulf of Mexico! Our journey will begin with a stop at the stunning Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, TX. We will enjoy exhibits with 13,000 animals from 460+ species, wildlife presentations, shows in the 4-D theater, and more! Then, we’ll head to Padre Island National Seashore. After watching an eight minute video at their visitor’s center, we’ll have a chance to stroll the beach, sit on a bench with a view of the Gulf of Mexico, or explore their boardwalk nature trail. After having Dinner (Pre-Paid) at a local restaurant, we’ll head back to our hotel for a good night’s rest.
Day 6: Wednesday, March 27 – Enjoy Breakfast at the Hotel before departing for Fredericksburg, “Jewel of the Texas Hill Country”. Start with a visit to the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park where we will go on a tour of the LBJ Ranch, and see the “Texas White House.” Then, depart for the National Museum of the Pacific War, including the George Bush Gallery. Here, visitors become quickly engaged in the personal stories of Americans from all branches of the military involved in the Pacific theatre of World War II. This evening, we’ll enjoy a local Dinner (Pre-Paid) with entertainment.
Day 7: Thursday, March 28 – Start the day with a Continental Breakfast. Afterwards, depart for a visit to the San Antonio Missions. Experience the “Queen of the Missions” – Mission San Jose, established in 1720. Next, we will visit the Institute of Texan Cultures. The Institute is devoted to the 26 different cultures that settled Texas. Later, go to the IMAX Theatre at San Antonio Rivercenter to see “Alamo”…The Price of Freedom”. Then, stand where history took place when you visit the buildings and grounds of the ALAMO – “The Shrine of Liberty”. This evening, we will relax and enjoy Dinner.
Day 8: Friday, March 29 – Enjoy a Continental Breakfast at our hotel before leaving for the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, TX. It’s interactive exhibits and artifacts bring the myth, legend, and fact of the Lone Star State together under one roof. Later that day, after a relaxing Dinner, we’ll check into our en route hotel.
Day 9: Saturday, March 30 – Today, we’ll go to the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK. Tonight, we’ll relax in our en route hotel.
Day 10: Sunday, March 31 – Today, after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, we will depart for home…a perfect time to chat with your friends about all of the things we’ve done, the great sights we’ve seen, and where we will go on our next trip!
