Day 1:
Saturday, October 4
Welcome Aboard! We’ll depart our pick-up locations for a nice ride across the states to our first en route hotel, for the evening in Indiana. Lunch and Dinner on own en route. Snacks and water available.
Day 2:
Sunday, October 5
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for New York. Enjoy a nice drive seeing the fall colors. Today, we’ll stop at the Made in America Store. Enjoy free time in this unique store with 7,000 items ALL made in the USA. We will have Lunch and Dinner on own en route.
Day 3:
Monday, October 6
Enjoy breakfast at hotel before we’re on our way to Vermont. Visit The Apple Barn & Country Bake Shop. Stop by a local Vermont favorite! Purchase some delicious apples to take home, or one of their homemade goodies from bake shop. We’ll enjoy Lunch on own en route. Arrive to Vermont Hotel then enjoy a bountiful Buffet Dinner (Pre-Paid).
Day 4:
tuesday, October 7
Enjoy breakfast at hotel, then we’re off and running. First, is a visit to the University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm. The home to the oldest, continuous Morgan Horse breeding herd in the world. Take a tour and learn about the breed history and how they are raised. Next, we board the Spirit of Ethan Allen Cruise Lines. Enjoy a scenic boat cruise on Lake Champlain with stunning views of the Adirondack and Green Mountains as we enjoy a wonderful hold/cold buffet Lunch (Pre-Paid) and champagne toast! After, we will visit Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory. Enjoy a guided tour of their factory or walk their playful Flavor Graveyard, on a hill in back of the plant. The Graveyard exists because of Ben & Jerry’s never-ending experimentation with odd ice cream flavors; some are just too odd for their own good. Every year eight to twelve — those with the lowest sales — are “killed” and become candidates for their Boot Hill, which opened in 1997. Read the humorous tombstone sayings and chuckle at flavors you might have once loved….or not. Enjoy an ice cream on our travels to our Vermont hotel. We will have Dinner (Pre-Paid) at the hotel.
Day 5:
Wednesday, October 8
Enjoy breakfast at our hotel before departing for our New Hampshire hotel. Depart for our New Hampshire Foliage Day! First stop is Faddens General Store & Maple Sugarhouse, North Woodstock, Haverville Bath Covered Bridge and the Bath Art Gallery. Faddens is deemed that the best maple syrup in the state. They have been making maple syrup for nearly 200 years. The Fadden Family like many early settlers of the early 1800’s harvested maple sap and produced syrup and sugar for their own use or to trade for supplies. It wasn’t until the 1930’s that they got down to producing maple products in a big way when they acquired a stand of maple trees, built a large sugarhouse and purchased equipment required for commercial maple syrup production. The Haverhill-Bath Bridge is thought to be the oldest covered bridge in use in New Hampshire, surviving many floods. The Lunch on own, before driving through one of New Hampshire’s most scenic mountain passes. The notch was home to the Old Man of the Mountain, a rock formation which collapsed in 2003 but whose profile remains a symbol of the state of New Hampshire. Then, we’ll visit Loon Mountain, Loon Mountain is a mountain in Lincoln and Livermore, New Hampshire, in Grafton County. It is in the White Mountain National Forest. We will enjoy a nice White Mountain Express Gondola Ride, New Hampshire’s longest scenic Gondola Skyride to the summit of Loon Peak. Breathtaking views and high-altitude adventure await! Enjoy a 1.3-mile scenic ride to the summit of Loon Peak in our four-person Gondola Skyride. At the end of the ascent, enter a high alpine world of refreshing breezes and stunning mountain views. Then we’ll arrive at our hotel for (2 Nights) in New Hampshire and enjoy a Wine and Cheese Reception followed by a Buffet Dinner (Pre-Paid) with Music, entertainment and dancing.
Day 6:
Thursday, October 9
Enjoy Breakfast at hotel before departing for the day. We will follow the Kancamagus Highway known for it’s incredible Fall Foliage Photo Ops! The Kancamagus Highway is a 34.5-mile scenic drive in Northern New Hampshire that is well known as one of the best Fall Foliage viewing areas in the country. The Kanc is now designated an American Scenic Byway for its rich history, aesthetic beauty and culture. The Kancamagus Scenic Byway takes you through a path cut through the White Mountain National Forest with breathtaking views of the White Mountains, the Swift River, Sabbaday Falls, Lower Falls and Rocky Gorge. The Kanc takes you to an elevation of just under 3,000 feet at its highest point at Kancamagus Pass on the flank of Mt. Kancamagus near Lincoln, NH. Then head to Mount Washington Auto Road. There is one road in New England that stands alone above all others. The Mt. Washington Auto Road. It is more than just an 8-mile path to the summit of the Northeast’s highest peak—it’s a journey through time to a place of spectacular beauty and awe-inspiring views . . . and it couldn’t be easier to get to. Mt. Washington is a special place, and we welcome your group to enjoy it with us. Get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience atop New England’s Tallest Peak at 6,228ft! Dress accordingly for his adventure as it’s a 30 degree drop in temperature! Our “Stage Driver” will enlighten us from the base of the summit with anecdotes, legends, history and insight into the ecological wonders of Mount Washington! Photo ops at the summit surrounded by 750,000 acres of national forest with potential views of Vermont, New York, Massachusetts and even Quebec! After we’ll depart for North Conway. Ready your cameras for a stop in one of New Hampshire’s most charming villages and enjoy Lunch on own. Take in the Austrian-style train station, crisp, white church steeples and colonial era shops. Check out the yummy local food products, Main Street cafés, hand-made crafts and antiques at Zeb’s famous New England Country Store. Then we’ll have Dinner (Pre-Paid) and entertainment.
Day 7:
Friday, October 10
Enjoy Breakfast at hotel and depart for a nice leisurely ride to New York hotel with Lunch and Dinner (On Own) en route.
Day 8:
Saturday, October 11
After Breakfast, depart for Indiana. Stop first at Brant’s Apple Orchard. Free time to enjoy the orchard, bakery and market plus the walking trails and even feed the fish in the pond. Then to Lunch and Dinner on own and to our hotel.
Day 9:
Sunday, October 12
Enjoy our last breakfast together before we arrive home with many pictures, memories and new great friends! Welcome home!
