Day 1:
thursday, august 5

Welcome Aboard! We’ll depart our pick up locations for a nice leisurely ride across the states to our first en route hotel . Lunch and Dinner on own. Water and snacks provided on coach.

Day 2:
friday, august 6

Enjoy breakfast at our hotel before departing for Ohio. While en route, we’ll stop at Schedel Arboretum and Gardens. In addition to many unusual and exotic species of trees and upwards of 10,000 annual plants and flowers, the Schedel Arboretum & Gardens maintains several themed garden displays where one will find unique presentations of plants and hardscapes designed to enhance the experience of appreciating nature. Then onto hotel in Ohio.

Day 3:
saturday, august 7

After Breakfast at our hotel, then depart for our next destination. En route, we’ll stop to visit the Made in America Store. This 48,000 sq. ft store carries ONLY 100% Made in America products. We will enjoy lunch (pre-paid) here before we depart for our next en route hotel for the evening in New York.

Day 4:
sunday, august 8

We’ll enjoy Breakfast at our hotel before departing for Hyannis. We’ll enjoy a Guided Tour of the City of Hyannis. Then time for exploring and Dinner on Own. This evening we are in for a treat, the 35th Annual Pops by the Sea Concert! (Pre-Paid) Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea concert is Cape Cod’s single largest cultural event and the most important fundraising event of the year for the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. For over thirty years it has welcomed one of the nation’s finest and best-loved musical ensembles – the Boston Pops Esplande Orchestra lead by Conductor Keith Lockhart – to the Hyannis Village Green. After, we’ll depart for our hotel on Cape Cod for four nights.

Day 5:
monday, august 9

Enjoy breakfast at hotel and then we will travel to the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. A short , 1-hour sea voyage which brings us to this scenic paradise. We will enjoy the painted gingerbread cottages and tabernacle of Oak Bluffs. Then we continue our tour to Edgartown with many quaint shops and learn of its whaling history. This is the famous island where “Jaws” was filmed. Martha’s Vineyard features a little bit of everything for everyone, even the celebrities live and vacation here! After, we will return for a nice dinner (Pre-Paid) before retiring to our hotel for the evening.

Day 6:
tuesday, august 10

After a nice breakfast at the hotel,  we are off for a cruise to the Little Gray Lady of the Sea, Nantucket Island. We will be able to view the Kennedy Compound from our shipboard viewpoint. We board our sightseeing bus for a tour of the Island and then return to Nantucket browsing and shopping.  See the cobblestone streets and quaint sites of this town. Then Dinner (Pre-Paid) and hotel.

Day 7:
wednesday, august 11

After breakfast, we’ll depart for a tour of Old Cape Cod and see Nauset Lighthouse, the Marconi Radio Station site, and the high cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean Seashore Park Visitor’s Center, then on to the tip of Cape Cod – Provincetown. Browse about town and visit the docks where giant tuna are brought. Then we’re in for a treat as we board the ship for a thrilling Whale Watching Cruise. The naturalist on board will explain whale behavior and migration patterns as we observe the “gentle giants” just a few feet away. Then onto our Lobster dinner (Pre-Paid), and back to hotel.

Day 8:

thursday, august 12

We will enjoy breakfast before departing for Pennsylvania. We’ll tour the beautiful Sandwich Glass Museum featuring a wide range of rare glass, including glass from the local Boston & Sandwich Glass Factory which was founded in Sandwich by Deming Jarvas in 1825. We’ll visit America’s Hometown of Plymouth, celebrating it’s 400th Anniversary this year! Enjoy a picture stop at the National Monument to the Forefathers, Mayflower II and Plymouth Rock along beautiful Plymouth Harbor. Step aboard and Tour the Mayflower II and go back to the 17th century and hear of the hardship of that voyage and that first winter from the sailors, glad to get back to their chosen lives, and, the Pilgrims, ready to get on with their unknown futures on land. Then onto our hotel.

Day 9:

friday, august 13

After breakfast at hotel, we’ll depart for Ohio. En route, we’ll stop at Keystone Safari where we’ll enjoy a self-guided tour. They are an 143 acre interactive animal and adventure park in beautiful Grove City, PA. Guests of all ages will be delighted by a visit to their park to enjoy a unique experience. Truly One of A Kind. Then depart for our hotel in Ohio.

Day 10:

saturday, august 14

Enjoy breakfast at hotel before departing for our Illinois hotel by way of a visit to The Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum. Thomas Alva Edison, inventor of the phonograph, the incandescent light bulb, and many other devices that make our lives fuller and simpler, was born in Milan, Ohio, in 1847. The Edison Birthplace Museum features a collection of rare Edisonia, including examples of many of Edison’s early inventions, documents, and family mementos.  Then to dinner on own en route to our hotel.

Day 8:
sunday, august 15

Today, after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, we will depart for home…a perfect time to chat with your friends about all of the things we’ve done, the great sights we’ve seen, and where we will go on our next trip!
