A guide brings the explorers’ journey alive through expedition stories and artifacts, including the story of Sergeant Charles Floyd. Travel to Mitchell for a welcome dinner and meet the companions who will share your Western adventure.

Gillette, WY - Wall Drug and Devils Tower
Browse the lively Western shops at Wall Drug before seeing Devils Tower rise dramatically above the Wyoming prairie. Discover its striking geology and cultural significance to Native peoples, then settle in for the night in Gillette.
Day 3:Tuesday August 31, 2027
Gillette, WY - Durham Bison Ranch and Eagle Butte Coal Mine
Ride into bison country on a guided ranch tour and hear how these powerful animals are cared for. At the coal mine, see enormous equipment and learn how this working landscape supplies energy. Enjoy a group dinner.

Great Falls, MT - Giant Springs State Park
Watch remarkably clear water flow from one of Montana’s most memorable natural springs. Explore the park’s riverside setting and tiny Roe River; if available, visit the fish hatchery and trout pond before your night in Great Falls.

Kalispell, MT - Flathead Lake and Whitefish
Cruise clear blue waters while your captain shares stories of the lake’s geology, history and wildlife. Later, enjoy a ranch wagon ride and meet magnificent Clydesdales on a barn tour, subject to the ranch’s 2027 schedule.

Bozeman, MT - Missoula Smokejumper Base
Discover the skill and courage behind aerial wildfire response during a behind-the-scenes base visit, subject to its 2027 schedule. Explore the exhibits, enjoy an included group lunch, and continue through Montana scenery to Bozeman.

Rapid City, SD - Fort Hays Old West Town
After crossing more open Western country, arrive in Rapid City and step into a frontier-style setting. Share a hearty chuckwagon supper while performers bring the evening to life with Western songs and stories.
Day 9:Monday September 6, 2027
Sioux Falls, SD - Bear Country USA and Falls Park
From the motorcoach, watch for bears and other North American wildlife in spacious habitats, subject to the attraction’s 2027 schedule. In Sioux Falls, gather for a farewell dinner with a view of the cascading falls.

Homeward bound
Enjoy a relaxed motorcoach journey home, with a stop for lunch on your own. Trade favorite stories of Glacier’s mountain scenery, bison on the prairie, sparkling Flathead Lake and the people you met along the way.

DJ Country Tours, Inc. shall be exempt from any liability in the event of an accident resulting in, but not limited to, loss or damage of properties, injury to people, death during trip, delays, irregularities or other occurrences beyond its control.
Trip Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as fair and accommodating as possible while meeting our vendor obligations.
ALL CANCELLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO SUPPLIER / VENDOR POLICIES
When booking directly through DJ Country Tours:
All cancellation requests must be received in writing by email or letter. Please use our contact us page to submit your email request.
45 days or more prior to departure:
A full refund will be issued.
44–31 days prior to departure:
A refund will be issued minus a $75 per person administrative fee, along with any non-refundable deposits or supplier-imposed penalties.
30–21 days prior to departure:
A refund of 50% of the total tour cost will be issued, less any non-refundable vendor expenses.
20 days or less prior to departure:
No refunds will be issued.
Refunds will be provided when cancellations are made within the applicable cancellation period. However, any nonrefundable costs incurred by DJ Country Tours through third-party suppliers or vendors — including but not limited to hotels, attractions, transportation providers, events, or tour operators — remain the responsibility of the traveler.
Certain tours operated through third-party suppliers have separate cancellation terms and deposit policies that supersede the standard DJ Country Tours cancellation schedule. Those supplier-specific terms will be provided at the time of booking.
