Board your motorcoach in Grinnell, Marshalltown, Waterloo, Coralville or Davenport and enjoy the journey east with lunch and comfort stops. Settle in for four nights at SpringHill Suites in Schaumburg, where hot breakfast awaits each morning and an indoor pool offers a place to unwind. Tonight’s welcome dinner is a chance to meet your traveling companions and look ahead to days filled with skyline views, museums and Chicago flavors.
Day 2:Tuesday July 20, 2027
Schaumburg, IL - Architecture, Navy Pier, Flyover and Shedd
On a Chicago River cruise, hear how more than 40 landmark buildings shaped the city’s skyline as you see them from the water. Enjoy lunch and free time at Navy Pier, with shops and Lake Michigan views. Then soar over Chicago in Flyover’s immersive moving-seat experience. At Shedd Aquarium, explore underwater worlds and meet creatures such as penguins, sharks and beluga whales before a free evening.
Day 3:Wednesday July 21, 2027
Schaumburg, IL - Field Museum, leisure time and iconic foods
Encounter SUE the T. Rex, ancient cultures and sparkling gems at the Field Museum. Spend your afternoon your way, perhaps browsing the Magnificent Mile. Depending on schedules, a Cubs game or the Obama Presidential Center may be an option; advance reservations may be needed. In the evening, a guided food tour pairs beloved Chicago specialties with stories of the neighborhoods and people behind them.
Day 4:Thursday July 22, 2027
Schaumburg, IL - Millennium Park and a Titanic adventure
Walk with a guide through landscaped gardens and public art at Millennium Park. Admire Cloud Gate, the gleaming sculpture known as “The Bean,” and hear about the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. After lunch, the Titanic virtual reality experience takes you through the ship’s grand spaces and down to its wreck, subject to availability. Gather for a farewell dinner and relive your favorite Chicago moments.
Day 5:Friday July 23, 2027
Homeward bound - Bring the Windy City home
Enjoy one more breakfast before boarding the motorcoach for the return journey, with comfort and lunch stops on the way. DJ Country Tours, Inc. shall be exempt from any liability in the event of an accident resulting in, but not limited to, loss or damage of properties, injury to people, death during trip, delays, irregularities or other occurrences beyond its control.
Trip Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as fair and accommodating as possible while meeting our vendor obligations.
ALL CANCELLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO SUPPLIER / VENDOR POLICIES
When booking directly through DJ Country Tours:
All cancellation requests must be received in writing by email or letter. Please use our contact us page to submit your email request.
45 days or more prior to departure:
A full refund will be issued.
44–31 days prior to departure:
A refund will be issued minus a $75 per person administrative fee, along with any non-refundable deposits or supplier-imposed penalties.
30–21 days prior to departure:
A refund of 50% of the total tour cost will be issued, less any non-refundable vendor expenses.
20 days or less prior to departure:
No refunds will be issued.
Refunds will be provided when cancellations are made within the applicable cancellation period. However, any nonrefundable costs incurred by DJ Country Tours through third-party suppliers or vendors — including but not limited to hotels, attractions, transportation providers, events, or tour operators — remain the responsibility of the traveler.
Certain tours operated through third-party suppliers have separate cancellation terms and deposit policies that supersede the standard DJ Country Tours cancellation schedule. Those supplier-specific terms will be provided at the time of booking.
